Dehradun, June 15 -- A 44-year-old Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) worker was killed and his two brothers injured in a dispute over irrigation water between neighbours in Dehradun's Vikasnagar area late on Saturday, sparking violent protests in which crowds pelted stones and set fire to a suspect's house. Police deployed paramilitary forces to maintain order and arrested four suspects, while the district administration demolished an alleged illegal construction at another accused's house.
