Dehradun e-way cameras trigger 1,000+ speeding fines in two days
India, Aug. 12 -- To strengthen road safety and enforce speed limits, the Delhi Traffic Police has integrated the automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) cameras installed on the Delhi-Dehradun Expressway (DDE) within its jurisdiction with its e-challan system, allowing it to issue online fines for speed limit violations.
The integration was completed on Monday, and more than 1,000 fines were issued for speeding till Tuesday, two senior traffic police officers told HT.
