Cybercrime crackdown: Haryana records 31% fund restoration success
CHANDIGARH, July 7 -- The Haryana government on Monday said the state has emerged as one of the country's leading states in combating cybercrime, recording a 31% cyber fraud fund restoration rate through money restoration module (MRM), eight times more than the 3.85% national average.
In the last 18 months, 927 cybercriminals were arrested from cyber hotspot Nuh alone, while between January 2025 and June 2026, as many as 9,100 police personnel were trained in cyber investigation, an official spokesperson said.
He said that chief secretary Anurag Rastogi held a review meeting and directed to further strengthen technology-driven policing to stay ahead of evolving digital threats.
