India, July 3 -- Portuguese football legend Cristiano Ronaldo was left heartbroken, saying "It doesn't make sense" as he paid an emotional tribute to teammate Diogo Jota, who tragically passed away on Thursday. The 28-year-old Liverpool star died alongside his brother in a car crash in Spain's northern province of Zamora, after their vehicle veered off a motorway and burst into flames.

Taking to social media, Ronaldo penned an emotional tribute to Jota, where he shared a black and white picture of his Portugal teammate. "It doesn't make sense," he wrote.
