Raipur, Nov. 13 -- The Communist Party of India (Maoist) has issued a strongly worded statement denouncing two of its senior functionaries, Sonu and Satish, who recently surrendered to authorities, accusing them of "betraying the revolution" and "distorting the party's political line". The statement, dated November 5, purportedly issued by the Central Committee of the CPI (Maoist), described Sonu, a member of the Central Committee, and Satish, a member of the Dandakaranya Special Zonal Committee, as "politically degenerated" individuals who "deceived" the outfit's cadres and "surrendered in a planned way" to the Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh governments.
