court grants robert vadra bail in money laundering case
NEW DELHI, May 17 -- A Delhi court on Saturday granted bail to businessman Robert Vadra in a money laundering case linked to a land deal in Haryana's Shikohpur, observing that the Enforcement Directorate (ED) had not arrested him during the investigation and his detention was not necessary.
Special judge Sushant Changotra of the Rouse Avenue Courts granted bail to Vadra and co-accused Kewal Singh Virk after they appeared before the court pursuant to summons issued earlier. The court directed them to furnish bail bonds of Rs.50,000 each along with sureties of the same amount.
