NEW DELHI, April 2 -- A Delhi court on Wednesday convicted Madhya Pradesh Congress MLA Rajendra Bharti in a case of cheating and forgery of bank records. Special judge Dig Vinay Singh of Rouse Avenue Court convicted Bharti and a former cashier, Raghuvir Prajapati, for the offence of criminal conspiracy, cheating and forgery. The court said Bharti and Prajapati along with others entered into a criminal conspiracy to cheat Zila Sahkari Krishi aur Grahmin Vikas Bank by drawing interest on a fixed deposit at a high rate beyond its duration of three years.
