India, Aug. 23 -- A couple was killed and their 11-year-old son injured after a speeding container truck ran over their scooter near Maljipada Petrol Pump in Vasai early Friday morning. The family had stopped by theroadside to put on raincoats after it began raining when the truck allegedly hit them and fled the scene.

According to Naigaon police, the deceased, Revantram Suthar, 40, and his wife Saroj, 35, were travelling with their 11-year-old son Bhavesh when the accident occurred at around 5.10am.
