KOHIMA, Oct. 12 -- One person was killed and another injured while over a dozen houses were razed down at different locations in Nagaland's Kiphire district as a dispute between two communities turned violent, police said. Officers said the violence took place on Saturday between the Tikhir and Yimkhiung communities in parts of the district where both tribes co-inhabited. Following the outbreak of violence, authorities imposed prohibitory orders under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) in affected areas to prevent further escalation and maintain public order.
