Chandigarh, Aug. 13 -- A man was attacked with axes and sticks by six men in Sector 25 on Wednesday afternoon. The accused arrived in a Honda City car and an Activa to attack him.The victim suffered injuries to both his legs and head.

Police said that victim Shakib,29, had a rivalry with the other group over his alleged involvement in the murder case, for which, he encountered an attacked earlier as well.

On Wednesday, he came out of his house and was surrounded by the accused before being attacked. Shakib said the rivalry started after a 21-year-old man, Ajay, was killed in Sector 25 in December 2023. Several men were accused for the murder including and Shakib's friends.
