Chandigarh, Sept. 29 -- After being told to have maximum survival of around 5 years following chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) diagnosis , a type of blood cancer in 1995, Veena Sood, now having survived cancer for 30 years, at the age of 68 shared her story at the 10th CML patient group meeting held at Zakir Hall of the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research on Sunday. With 30 years of surviving cancer, Veena Sood inspired the hall full of CML patients to not lose hope and keep up with their treatment.
