Mumbai, June 16 -- India released a new Wholesale Price Index (WPI) on Monday that shifts the base year from 2011-12 to 2022-23, and Producer Price Indices to replace WPI. Wholesale prices rose 6.8% between February 2026, the last month before the West Asia war began, and May (9.7% WPI).P16
