New Delhi, July 29 -- The Union ministry of education on Monday defended the inclusion of Bhagavad Gita in Delhi University's courses, saying the "thought of Bhagavad Gita is an important part of Indian Knowledge System (IKS) studies focusing on betterment of human living." MoS education minister Sukanta Majumdar said that DU offers papers on Bhagavad Gita as a part of the New Education Policy (NEP)-2020 and Undergraduate Curriculum Framework-2022. htc
