CBI books IOFS officer in DA case, say officials
New Delhi, March 1 -- The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has registered a disproportionate assets (DA) case against a senior official of the Ordnance Equipment Factory in Firozabad, and conducted searches at multiple locations, including the official's residence and office, officials aware of the matter said on Saturday.
The accused officer has been identified as Amit Singh, a 1998 batch officer of Indian Ordnance Factory Services (IOFS) and is presently posted at the Troop Comforts Ltd. Training Academy in Kanpur.
In a statement, the federal agency said Singh was posted as the chief general manager at the Ordnance Equipment Factory at Firozabad's Hazratpur when the alleged irregularities occurred.
