India, Sept. 3 -- Two-time Grammy-winning jazz singer, Cassandra Wilson, passed away at her home in Jackson, Mississippi, her longtime manager announced. Wilson passed away "peacefully at home" on September 2, Wednesday. She was 70.

Robert Torre, who has managed the singer for over 20 years, released a statement to Jackson-based radio station 88.3 FM WBGO that the singer passed away. A cause of death was not announced.

"It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Cassandra Wilson, the Grammy Award-winning and legendary jazz artist," the statement read.
