New Delhi, June 18 -- Executives at the Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) and the Anil Ambani-owned Reliance Group distanced themselves from allegations of internet routing manipulation made by Telegram founder Pavel Durov, stating he appears to have conflated separate corporate entities. Durov accused "Indian telecom Reliance" late on Tuesday of disrupting access to Telegram for users outside India, including in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), through what he described as a "rogue method called BGP hijacking."
