Kolkata, July 9 -- Trinamool Congress (TMC) chief on Wednesday alleged that her Kolkata rally, permitted by the Calcutta High Court, was attacked by workers of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), who "molested several women and left at least 25 people injured". "The BJP's lumpens assaulted our youth and student leaders in front of the police despite the fact that we had the court's permission...," she said in a live video on Facebook. In response, Bengal BJP's chief spokesperson Debjit Sarkar said: "After the TMC's defeat in the elections, its disgruntled workers have turned against those who ruled the roost over the years. This incident, too, appears to be a fallout of that dissidence."htc
