India, April 30 -- The exit poll projections for four states and a Union Territory have shown mixed results: continuity in Assam, possible change in West Bengal and Kerala, and a surprise entrant in Tamil Nadu.

The post-poll projections were released shortly after the voting concluded for the second phase of West Bengal elections on Wednesday evening. The final results will be declared once counting begins on May 4 (Monday).

The predictions for the high-stake states come even as the anticipation of voters was high this time with Tamil Nadu and Bengal registering record turnout.
