New Delhi/Imphal, Dec. 15 -- Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) legislators from Manipur met party's national general secretary BL Santhosh and northeast coordinator Sambit Patra on Sunday in Delhi, where they were urged to take proactive steps to restore normalcy and promote peace between the Meitei and Kuki-Zo communities, people aware of the matter said.
During the meeting, the senior leaders instructed the MLAs to set an example by visiting each other's areas, they said. While there was no official word on government formation talks, an MLA said there was a consensus among the legislators that "a popular government" needs to be formed in the state, which is under President's Rule.
