Bhopal dowry death: CM to seek CBI probe; second postmortem denied
Bhopal, May 21 -- The Madhya Pradesh government said on Wednesday that it will write to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to take over probe into the death of a 32-year-old former model and actress, who was found dead at her Bhopal residence on May 12, even as a Bhopal district court rejected her family's plea for a second post-mortem examination.
The 32-year-old woman was found hanging at her marital home in Bhopal's Katara Hills area on May 12, months after her December 2025 marriage to the 33-year-old accused, whom she met on a matrimonial site in 2024.
