India, Jan. 12 -- How did you end up writing The Upside-Down World: Meeting with the Dutch Masters?

Well, I grew up in Houston, Texas in the United States and now I live in Utrecht in the Netherlands. I moved at the age of 25 to be with my Dutch partner. It is a nice place to live but it turned out to be much more foreign than I had imagined. I began to think about questions like: Why am I here? What am I doing? Who am I? I immersed myself in the art, going to every Dutch museum that I could possibly visit. I didn't care about their horrible television or their bad movies.
