India, Aug. 13 -- A Bengaluru-based content creator has urged the government to regularize fares on ride-hailing apps, claiming that they are becoming increasingly unaffordable. Tripti, who posts under the Instagram handle @curatedbytriptii, sparked a conversation on Uber, Rapido and Namma Yatri fares by highlighting her own experience.

In an Instagram post shared yesterday, Tripti said that she spent an hour waiting at Indiranagar metro station for a Rapido auto to accept her booking. She claimed that non driver accepted her booking despite offering a Rs.70 pre-tip ride.

Ultimately, she had to pay double the normal fare just to get home.
