India, April 4 -- Housing costs in Bengaluru are leaving many residents struggling, with both rents and property prices climbing sharply in recent years.

A resident has shared frustration in a Reddit post, describing the search for a 2BHK home in the city as a "nightmare".

"Where is BLR real estate going?" the caption of the post reads.

According to the post, over the past three years, the resident has tracked the price of a flat rising from Rs.1.4 crore to Rs.2 crore, despite several drawbacks.

The apartment, the resident noted, is located next to a large drain and has multiple issues, but its proximity to the Outer Ring Road (ORR) and nearby IT companies has kept demand high.
