Banka double murder main accused injured in police firing
PATNA, July 11 -- Sachin Kumar Singh, who was arrested from Ranchi in Jharkhand on charges of killing two persons, Gunjan Kumar Singh and Sittu Kumar Singh, was injured in a police encounter early on Saturday after he allegedly fired at a police team and tried to escape from custody in Bihar's Banka district, officials said.
Sachin suffered a bullet injury to his right leg and is undergoing treatment at the government-run Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College and Hospital (JLNMCH), Bhagalpur.
