India, Sept. 28 -- A Delhi court on Saturday granted bail to Gaganpreet Makkad, the accused driver in the Dhaula Kuan BMW crash that killed 52-year-old finance ministry employee Navjot Singh and severely injured his wife, while strongly criticising the conduct of an ambulance that arrived at the scene but did not assist the injured.

The 19-page order, passed by judicial magistrate first class Ankit Garg, dismissed the prosecution's core argument that Makkad's conduct after the accident attracted Section 105 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), culpable homicide not amounting to murder.
