India, Feb. 17 -- Australia have officially been knocked out of the T20 World Cup. The 2021 Champions crashed out of the 20-team tournament in the group stage after the match between Zimbabwe and Ireland was abandoned due to rain without a single ball being bowled at the Pallekele International Stadium on Tuesday. For Australia to have any chance of making it to the Super 8s, Ireland had to defeat Zimbabwe. A win for Sikandar Raza's side or a washed-out game would have been enough for Zimbabwe to knock Australia out of the tournament.
