Silchar, Aug. 5 -- A Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been formed to investigate the alleged rape and murder of 16-year-old girl in Assam's Hailakandi district in which three teenagers, including a minor, have been arrested so far, police said on Tuesday, adding that the autopsy report confirmed that the victim was raped before she was murdered.
"Post mortem examination suggested that the victim was raped," police said in a statement released on Tuesday. HTC
