India, Sept. 29 -- Shooter Neeru scripted history for India at the Asian Games on Tuesday, winning the first individual gold for the contingent at the ongoing competition. She came first in the women's trap individual final, and with this, India got their fifth gold medal at the 2026 Asian Games. Earlier, India's medal tally increased further on Tuesday, the 11th day of the Asian Games, after the shooting contingent brought another silver. Neeru, Aashima Ahlawat, and Manisha Keer won silver in the women's trap team event.
