India, Sept. 22 -- The fourth day of the Asian Games 2026 campaign for the Indian contingent was mixed, with disappointment for the shooters and the women's badminton team, which included PV Sindhu. The medal hopes are now dependent on the women's cricket team, and India are in sight of their first gold at the ongoing edition if they defeat Sri Lanka in the summit clash.

Earlier, Elavenil Valarivan won two silver medals in shooting; however, she was unable to add another to her tally on Tuesday, as she and Parth Mane finished fourth in the 10m Air Rifle Mixed Team qualification.
