Srinagar, Sept. 27 -- After 12 years, BJP senior leader and Kashmiri pandit face Ashok Koul relinquish as general secretary J&K, the party sources say the next general secretary could be from Himachal Pradesh.

Ashok Koul has been an architect of the party in J&K and under his leadership for the first time the party formed a coalition government with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in 2015, the government however lasted for three years.

Koul relinquished his post as he has paved way for Akshay Kumar, who could be the new general secretary from Himachal Pradesh having lot of experience on the organisational setup.
