Arunachal CM to seek Army's take on Chinese incursion buzz
Itanagar, Aug. 8 -- Arunachal Pradesh chief minister Pema Khandu on Friday said he has invited representatives of the Nah Welfare Society (NWS), an organisation for the Nah tribe, for a meeting and will seek clarification from the Indian Army over reports alleging a Chinese incursion near Taksing in Arunachal Pradesh's Upper Subansiri district.
Khandu said he was not convinced that an incursion had taken place and expressed confidence in the Indian Army's ability to safeguard the country's borders.
"I have invited the members of the Nah Welfare Society and will personally verify the matter. I will also speak to the Indian Army and verify the same," the chief minister said.
