CHENNAI, Aug. 12 -- A political storm erupted in Tamil Nadu on Tuesday after senior AIADMK leader and former minister RB Udhayakumar took an alleged jibe at the state government with a reference to popular actress Trisha Krishnan.

Members of the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam's local unit in Thoothukudi on Tuesday filed a complaint against Udhayakumar over the remarks , officials said.

The development comes a week after former deputy CM Udhayanidhi Stalin's arrest for comments allegedly referencing the actress at a public rally in Thanjavur on August 4.
