India, June 5 -- The Amritsar commissionerate police have dismantled a major cross-border network dealing in illegal weapons, narcotics, and hawala operations by arresting six individuals, including an Afghan national and two juveniles.

Announcing the breakthrough on Friday, Punjab director general of police (DGP) Gaurav Yadav said that security forces recovered 1.035kg of heroin, five sophisticated pistols-comprising three Austrian-made 9MM Glocks, one .30 bore Zigana, and another .30 bore pistol-along with two live cartridges and Rs.5 lakh in drug money.
