Ahmedabad, Sept. 12 -- The Adani Group has barred ships sanctioned by the European Union, United States, United Kingdom or the United Nations from its 14 ports in India, according to a trade advisory by the company and two persons aware of the development, amid increased US criticism of Russian oil purchases by Indian companies. Adani Ports and Logistics in a trade advisory dated September 11 said that ports including Mundra, Hazira, Dahej, Dhamra, and Krishnapatnam, would deny entry, berthing, and use of any facility by sanctioned vessels. HT has reviewed a copy of the advisory. Adani Ports, part of the Adani Group, has not issued a public statement on the matter. An Adani Group spokesperson when contacted declined to comment.
