India, March 2 -- The Actor Awards 2026, considered the final 'big awards' in Hollywood in the run-up to the Oscars, were held on Sunday in Los Angeles. Presented by the Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists, the awards were previously known as the SAG Awards, and are considered the true precursor to the Academy Awards.

The ceremony honours the best performances in film and television, and is voted upon by the members of SAG-AFTRA, comprising thousands of working actors in Hollywood. Actors make up the largest slice of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (who vote for the Oscars), and their choices at the Actor Awards often align.
