NEW DELHI, Oct. 17 -- The Centre has eased Aadhaar enrolment and update requirements for children in adoption and institutional care, seeking assistance under the Special Scholarship Scheme under the PM CARES for Children Scheme, allowing alternative documents to be submitted in specified circumstances, according to a notification issued by the ministry of social justice and empowerment. The notification, published on Wednesday, lays down provisions for Aadhaar-related procedures for children whose biological parents may not be available to provide the documents ordinarily required for enrolment or updates.
