India, Aug. 18 -- Portraits of Shibu Soren have become one of the defining images of the weeks-long student agitation in Jharkhand, as protesters invoke the late Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) patriarch's legacy of struggle to press demands against the government led by his son, chief minister Hemant Soren.
The agitation began on July 25 over alleged irregularities - paper leaks, discrepancies in OMR sheets and a disputed merit list in the 14th Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) preliminary examination.
