India, June 4 -- A seven-year-old girl was abducted and raped by a man in Uttar Pradesh's Mathura. As per a report, the girl was kidnapped by a man as she slept next to her mother at night and raped at a nearby crematorium.

As reported by news agency PTI, the accused has been identified as Rahul and was arrested for the crime. Circle Officer (Chhata) Bhushan Verma revealed that the incident took place on Wednesday night in Surwari village under the Kosikalan police station area.

The accused allegedly smashed a window to break into the victim's residence and abducted her while she was sleeping next to her mother. He gagged the victim and dragged her to a crematorium nearby.
