New Delhi, Feb. 9 -- A six-year-old boy was killed on Sunday after a speeding truck ran over him as he was crossing the road in north west Delhi's Shalimar Bagh area, said police, adding that the driver, who fled the scene, had yet to be arrested.

Police identified the victim as Tirath Pratap, who lived at the Lohia Camp in Haiderpur.

The accused has been identified as Ajay Kumar Dass, a resident of Shalimar Bagh area. Raids are being conducted to arrest him, police said.
