New Delhi, July 21 -- The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) on Monday closed five of its stations in Central Delhi over security concerns in view of the Cockroach Janta Party's (CJP) protest march to Parliament, leaving hundreds of commuters stranded and preventing many protesters from reaching their destinations. DMRC announced on X on Monday morning that Rajiv Chowk, Janpath, Patel Chowk, Central Secretariat and Seva Teerth metro stations will be closed until further instructions due to security reasons. The Seva Teerth metro station was reopened first, followed by Janpath and Patel Chowk, DMRC stated.
