ROHTAK, Sept. 4 -- Five people were killed and nine others injured after an overcrowded van carrying agricultural workers from Uttar Pradesh was hit by an unidentified vehicle on the Kundli-Manesar-Palwal (KMP) Expressway near IMT Kharkhoda on Thursday.

However, the vehicle involved in the collision fled the spot.

According to the police, one of the deceased was identified as Ramnaresh, a resident of Badepura of Pilipbhit in Uttar Pradesh, the other deceased could not be identified yet. The injured have been identified as Newa Ram, Pramod, Sanjeev, Mahendra Pal, Fatilal, Harishankar, Khushali, Chhotu and Vivek.
