India, April 26 -- US President Donald Trump was uninjured after a shooting incident disrupted the annual White House Correspondents' Association dinner in Washington on Saturday night, forcing an evacuation of top officials and guests. The event was scrapped and will be rescheduled.
Authorities said the incident unfolded outside the ballroom where Trump and other attendees were seated. While details remain unclear, one law enforcement official said a shooter had opened fire. There were no immediate reports of injuries among guests.
Calling the incident "unexpected," Trump described the shooting suspect as a "lone-wolf and whack job."
