JAMMU, Aug. 14 -- Nearly 35 years after a bomb blast rocked the Jammu railway station, killing three people and injuring 18, the Government Railway Police (GRP) on Thursday arrested an accused terrorist who had been absconding.

The accused, Altaf Hussain Sheikh, son of Nazir Ahmed Sheikh of Bijbehara in Anantnag, was booked under the Terrorist and Disruptive Activities (Prevention) Act (TADA).

"The accused, who initially went underground and then lived with a concealed identity for several decades, has been arrested after a 35-year chase," said an official spokesperson.
