PATNA, Aug. 14 -- The economic offence unit (EOU) of Bihar Police on Thursday arrested three people, including two MBBS students, in connection with alleged cheating in the NEET-UG retest 2026 in Lakhisarai district, officials said. The exam was held on June 21, 2026 after the cancellation of the main test over paper leak allegations. The officials identified the two students as Ujjwal Raj and Ravi Shankar. The third suspect, Ashwini Kumar, is Shankar's brother, they said. EOU officials identified Ravi Shankar as the kingpin of the cheating racket, and added that they have seized a Scorpio SUV and Rs.2.95 lakh cash from Raj.
