3 camels used by liquor smuggling ring housed in Delhi govt's shelter
New Delhi, Sept. 16 -- Three camels seized by Delhi Police last week for allegedly being used to smuggle liquor into the Capital are now kept inside a government-run animal shelter at Boulevard Road in north Delhi, opposite the Tis Hazari Court Complex.
The camels, caught late Thursday night along with five alleged bootleggers while transporting over 2,000 liquor bottles from Faridabad to Sangam Vihar via a forest stretch, were shifted to the Delhi Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals shelter on Saturday, officials said.
