India, April 3 -- A man who left behind the fast-paced grind of corporate life in a metro city has found a more intentional way of living after returning to his hometown, Udaipur, where he now runs homestays for a living.

In a Reddit post, the 27-year-old man shared how what began as a small decision to move back home gradually turned into a complete lifestyle shift.

"Switched to a slower life in Udaipur. Lower costs, more flexibility," the caption of the post reads.

According to the post, once tied to a fixed 9-to-5 routine, the man now earns through homestays.

On average, he makes around Rs.1 lakh a month, though earnings can dip to Rs.40,000- Rs.50,000 in slower periods and rise to Rs.3-4 lakh during peak tourist seasons.
