21 held for violence, one arrested for instigating public in Manipur
IMPHAL, April 21 -- Twenty-one people have been arrested in connection with the April 18 violence in Manipur's Imphal West district that left three security personnel injured, while a member of the Meitei Arambai Tengol group has been arrested for "instigating the public" through social media posts, police said on Monday.
"At least 21 people have been arrested in connection with the April 18 violence," police said in a statement.
Additionally, one member of Arambai Tengol, was arrested for allegedly instigating the public by posting "highly provocative and inflammatory content, including threats and calls for violence, with the potential to disturb public order".
