Bidar, Sept. 2 -- A 17-year-old boy has been taken into custody under Pocso Act, after his 16-year-old classmate was found to be two months pregnant, at a residential school in Karnataka, police said. The girl's pregnancy came to light after her parents grew suspicious and took her to a hospital for a medical examination. Doctors confirmed that she was two months pregnant and immediately informed the police. A complaint was subsequently filed by the girl's father, and authorities have since registered a case under the Pocso Act. The 17-year-old boy who attended the same residential school, has been taken into custody and is to be presented before the Juvenile Justice Board.
