Kolkata/Siliguri, July 23 -- The toll from a tunnel explosion in south Sikkim's Namchi district rose to 22 on Wednesday with rescuers retrieving 10 more bodies from the under-construction facility of the Teesta Stage-VI Hydel Project, officials said adding that three remained missing. The incident took place on Monday when a methane explosion killed at least 12 and trapping many others. At least 25 workers were working inside Adit-3 of the 15-km long tunnel, connecting the barrage at Siwarni with the powerhouse at Tarkhola in South Sikkim.
