New Delhi/Silchar, Feb. 12 -- The Election Commission received 1,297,796 Form-7 deletion applications during Assam's Special Revision (SR) of electoral rolls, of which 10,63,647 were accepted after scrutiny, according to the state's chief electoral officer on Wednesday. The SR exercise covered all 126 Legislative Assembly Constituencies (LACs) of the state. The final electoral roll under SR 2026 was published on February 10 following completion of claims and objections. During the house-to-house verification drive, officials identified 478,992 deceased voters, 523,680 electors who had shifted from their registered addresses and 53,619 cases of multiple entries.
